Long before the Bedtime Besties® had a name, they had a voice. They began with the stories Rachael and her sister heard from their dad at bedtime. Back then, there was rarely a book in sight. Instead, the stories featured friends and family, beloved pets and whichever toys had found their way onto their bunk beds that night.
THE OTHER HALF OF THE TEAM
Jon Barrett came to Bedtime Besties® the same way Rachael did: from the edge of a bed. Nothing beats the time he spends with his son, a book open between them, making memories he knows they will both treasure.
Together, Rachael and Jon have created a collection that children and caregivers can reach for again and again. That is why they have taken such care over every detail: expert editorial, beautiful illustrations and cuddly Besties designed with the smallest hands in mind – right down to how each book and toy feels.
GENERATIONAL CHANGE
That same care goes into the materials. Every book and Bestie gives recycled paper and plastic bottles a second life – less waste, and a small step towards a future worth sharing.
The unwavering support of her mother, Veronica, and the rest of her family, including her partner, Catherine, has allowed Rachael to realise a long-held dream. With Bedtime Besties®, she and her dedicated team are now helping another generation of children to enjoy a calm, consistent, screen-free bedtime that the whole family can look forward to.
